"I've heard predictions that the refractive surgery market will dip to 50% of what it was at its peak, and I expect there is going to be an impact on the premium IOL market in cataract surgery as well," Dr. Olson said.
Other IOL news. Dr. Osher identified several other lens introductions that occurred in Europe. His list included IOLs with multifocal toric optics (M-flex T, Rayner; Acri.Lisa, Carl Zeiss Meditec).
